Farm manager
  • Neil Coatsworth, farm manager

Neil comes from a farming family and worked on a local hill farm in the Lake District from an early age, picking up ‘the essential basics’ – along with a desire to pursue a serious career in agriculture.

After leaving school, Neil studied Agriculture at De Montfort University in Lincolnshire, passing his 3-year Higher National Diploma with distinction. He then moved to East Yorkshire to work as a fieldsman for the pea group division of Birds Eye, taking control of critical harvest procedures.

Neil moved to Cambridgeshire in 1995, and was first employed by the Bartletts as a general farm worker. His growth in knowledge paralleled the swift growth of the company and he was soon made assistant farm manager – rising to farm manager in 2007.

Neil now directs all aspects of the farm operation for Alan Bartlett and Sons and is the backbone of our farming team.
