Carrot tips:
As an alternative to grating carrots, try slicing them using a potato peeler. This creates long, thin, curled strips – which look great in a salad.
Try adding a teaspoon of sugar, a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of butter to the water before boiling. This will give you sweeter, glossier carrots.
