  • Pete Saunders, technical manager (farm)

    Pete joined the Bartletts as technical manager in 2001.

    Before giving sound advice to us, he advised the industry on varietal performance and agronomy as head of the potato and sugar beet department at the National Institute of Agricultural Botany.

    Prior to that, Pete spent 14 years with the Government’s Agricultural Development Advisory Service (ADAS); the first half in pesticides and the second half, managing the cropping and research on an ADAS experimental farm.

    Today, he is responsible for both the ‘good start’ and the constant nurturing that gives our crops the very best chance to thrive.

  • Steve Warwick, technical manager (site and factory)

    Steve joined the Bartletts as technical manager for thefactory operation in 2005.

    He has been in the fresh produce industry since leaving school, and his wide-ranging experience covers retailing, distribution, quality assurance, buying, new product development and food technology/science – in short, he really knows his stuff.

    Immediately prior to joining Bartletts, Steve spent 21 years with a major UK multiple developing knowledge and specialist skill in the vegetable sector.
